*******It is fine that the CDs have parental advisories. I just thought that you should be aware of that so you aren’t hesitant to buy them.
I’m just glad to see that she doesn’t put an extraneous apostrophe in “CDs.” That’s my girl!
I would caution you from buying the Tenacious D CD before listening to it. They can be pretty raunchy. And I’m 25!
April, you’re right about that. :phones: That particular CD has some amusing stuff despite the coarse language, though. We’ve actually heard most of the stuff Moon’s interested in buying, and we trust her judgment…she tends to like sassy rebellious stuff rather than the violent stuff.
(Word of the day: “stuff”)
Dontcha just hate it when people put apostrophes where none belong? Or don’t know how to use it’s and its? Drives me insane.
Double ditto on the whole raunchy Tenacious D CD. That thing makes me blush, but it is really funny.
I also have both of those System of a Down CDs. Take it from a former rock star, those guys are pretty talented. It’s interesting the sort of ethnic sound they incorporate into their music. If she likes those guys, she might like Stone Sour. You could score some points in the “hip mom” category if you turn her on to something new. And there’s a spoken word track on there that I know any sassy, rebellious teen would love.
Of course, every teen should have the new Beastie Boys too.
She’s loving the Stone Sour, but she knows that you’re the hip one, not me. :note:
